There wasn't a better attention-getter in this context than the announcement on the front of the BOOH album. Prior to that I had a general reverence to songwriters who performed their own works (with the possible exception of Bob Dylan), or read the credits of songwriters on artists' albums. I paid attention to songwriters when I revered the songs, and I paid attention to singers when I revered the performances.
