I had a problem with the mouse on my computer some time last year, such that the regular Ps-2 mouse was not being "seen" by the BIOS, and that meant that I had no ability to move, select or anything with the mouse at all! I was in the midst of making a website at the time, furiously feverishly writing page after page, designing layouts and formats for the paragraphs, and no mouse! I used the keyboard instead. Awful! Eventually I replaced the mouse.
I understand how it feels when the technology lets you down. Looks like your cleaning it just made it get more loose, and so you can't use that function on the mouse. I made a pun in another post but the one I had in mind was much more....uh punny........Looks like your Mighty Mouse isn't so mighty...dur.........Perhaps you could try to buy a new one?
As for Jacqueline's thank you, I hope it was not made prematurely, and I'm not sure if that means that I can't just be myself. I feel utterly confused by the fact that people are thinking that they can muscle their ways around other people. And, I'll go and zen myself now.
