Actually... I am one of those nerds who does read the booklets...
I got this greatest hits album by Bonnie Tyler for my ninth birthday, along with my first ever cassette player... because I loved Total Eclipse so much... I didn't understand the meaning of the song then, not sure I do now, but I did sense some of it, as did I with the 2 other fave songs I soon found... So I did read the booklet and looked for who wrote them.. and was not really very surprised to find out that they were all by the same bloke... and he also did Paradise, which was every kid's fave disco thing in those days... one of those songs that nobody knew but everybody knew the words to....
My dad who was a DJ for a radio station in our local hospital then told me 'if you like that you should hear the rest of that album' and took it home with him from the studio the following week. I loved it so much it became the first cd I got at the age of 11 and after that... I was hooked.. and when Bat II came out.. that was a lifesaver in more ways than you can ever imagine...
My god I am getting old though... I get to celebrate my 20th Jimmyversary this year... oh man....
