Meat Loaf says you have to live a Jim Steinman song and that he felt that Barry didn't live that song, he sang it. I really like Barry's version though. It has more lyrics and better production. Meat's vocals had been strained at the time he recorded "Dead Ringer" so his vocal even might have been better. If he'd performed it live in concert, say 1994, and that got out on a CD, with him singing the extra verse? Say it.
