I understand that the vocal afficianados of this site have the critique of voice as their first priority, but it is just a fact of endurance that a person's vocal performance cannot sustain a high-travel high-pressure tour like this one. Most of those who tour like this are the writers of their own songs, and so their fans are happy enough to hear them with or without vocal issues. Robert Plant was hoarse when I saw Led Zeppelin perform but there was narry a suggestion that he shouldn't have been there. With Meat the rules seem different because he is a vocalist of these songs, and as such, he really should look out for his voice as his first priority as well. So, he is definitely unwise to put his voice into demands where it cannot endure. What does he expect that he has to offer to these songs, if not his voice?
