It may well have been in a different key, I'm not a great judge of these things. I noticed "Took the Words" was definitely in the original key when CC & Aspen sang the hand-clapping part, but I can't be sure with "Bat..." Whatever key it was in, the point is he sang it brilliantly, which was so oddly out of character with the rest of the evening. It can't be the easiest song to sing, maybe he just saves himself for it, as it's the song most 'casual' fans will come to hear? | |
