But what was unusual about it - like Superstar and Evita were unusual when they were released because they were concept albums - is that the recording was done in advance of the show so that it could be released at the same time as it opened. But the problem with that was that the show changed. Now if you listen to the CD there are a few differences from the DVD which is the Melbourne show. And by the way, I thought that was a great idea. Instead of a cast album, they went one better and shot the whole thing like a movie. | |
