Just because people *want* to love whatever ML publishes (esp. after they have spent their money on it) they fantasize into it whatever they want it to be and start all that justification talk about the soul and the emotion and whatnot. ML doesn't sound any different than the most tone-deaf amateurs on youtube gargling along to their favourite tunes, and no one is forgiving them anything. Isn't that strange? Imagine ML was an unknown person and he'd try to get into some local choir or try to found a small local band or even go to a casting [show]... people would just shake their heads (or worse) and be amazed how someone that unable to sing could be so deluded as to even try. Why? Because without the name/restovers of fame people don't project their hopes and wishes and fantasies onto what they hear, but rather listen to what is *actually* there [or not]. A bit like "The Emperor's New Clothes": He's the king, so surely he can't be naked. People don't see the naked old man as long as they [want to] see the king instead. That doesn't make him less naked, though, and people who don't know that it's the king just see some random old naked man and wonder what the heck is going on. | |
