At present as I understand the situation from what's been publicly related, there are agreements previously negotiated as to partitioning of rights, etc. If the parties are willing to entertain the possibility of working together and it may be necessary to renegotiate, the first thing one does is pick up the phone, talk to one's lawyer and say, hey, ring up the other side, see if they want to talk. If there's will, it isn't difficult. The Lord of Negotations created Sherpas for a reason :)
