| Whether or not my Mac is secure because of the small marketshare or because it's inherently more secure doesn't matter to me. The fact of the matter is, in the real world, I am less likely to get a virus on my computer. You can tell me (truthfully) that I could prevent viruses on a Windows machine, as well, as long as I was willing to constantly update and run an anti-virus program, two spyware sweepers, and a firewall. Frankly, this seems a bit time-consuming. You say that Apple and Linux machines will not run the programs you need to run, so that is the end-all for you in terms of selection. There is no need to argue other points. In a similar way, I enjoy a machine that always runs smoothly without the need for constant virus maintenence. That is the end-all for my choice. And so, we're both happy with our selections. Right? | |
