| Interesting question. Lets not forget that after bat II there was a ton of pressure for Jim and Meat to do BAT IV Howver, jim didn't want to saturate the market - this also forced Jim's hand with Celine. I think Jim used his success from BAT II to enhance his resume with more eccentric / interesting projects. If Dead Ringer / BFG was released shortly after the original BAT, we wouldn't of had a Steinsolo album - who knows what would of happend. There seem to be 2 points in Jim's carreer where he was rather prolific - 1981 - 1987 (Bonnie, BFG, Small Circle of Friends, Confidence Man, Streets of Fire, Footloose etc.....) and 1993 - 1998 (BAT II, Whistle, Tanz, Very Best of, Tina Arena, In The Dark of The night, Celine, beginigs of Karine and Batman & DOTV). 2002 also started off w/ a bunch of new material - then he got sick..... it sound like Jim is currently in one of his "moods" and hopefully we see the results with the BAT SHOW, Bonnie album, and the Adrienne Solo Project. -J | |
