Well, you'd have to know what 'taming' she speaks of: is it the one in '87 when Child stepped in for Slippery When Wet, or rather the very slickly produced Crush in 200-something by the Scandinavian team that's also responsible for the success of Britney et al.?
I'd find it hard to argue that she would refer to the first one, as Bon Jovi's sound was defined with that album.
