| I was very impressed with the show overall. Her band is outstanding, especially Matt Pryor (guitarist) (who she introduced as the "producer" of her last project. It's been said that she doesn't have her voice, but last night she was in pretty good form. There were a few songs that her voice wasn't that strong and the band "over-powered" her, but the Steinman songs were true to form; her voice was great. Her set started out with Have You Ever Seen the Rain. The three Steinman songs were, INAH, TEOTH, and FTTSON. Prior to doing the Steinman set, she said she was a fan of MeatLoaf and wanted his writer for her...so she went to her record company and asked for "the best"; she was later contacted by Jim and asked to come to New York, which she said was "another story". She added two new songs, one of which she co-wrote and was "OK"; the second one (deserving of a possible Steinman title, IMO) was "Is That Thing Loaded?" which had some interesting lyrics... Bonnie also mentioned that she wanted to get back into country music, but NO mention of Jim.... The show lasted about an hour and ten minutes. I thoroughly enjoyed her performance....and she looked great. | |
