Wow.
Poor Meat Loaf. I heard about this on the radio today. Who'd have thought it would make the news? Anyway, they followed up by saying that he WAS going to continue, but really - he ought to hang up his guitar and retire. He's battled these voice troubles for nearly 30 years now. I can understand how hard it would be for him to give up the thrill of live performance and the nightly adulation, but really - it's time.
What Meat should REALLY do is find a new agent who will aggressively pursue movie and TV roles for him. He's a great character actor! His acting career has been severely neglected. Why wasn't he a recurring character on Law & Order or That 70s Show? Why shouldn't he be hamming it up with Shatner on Boston Legal? Why isn't he popping up in movies as sheriffs and truck drivers and your dad's beer drinking best friend, and whatnot?
Come on, Meat - leave the rock & roll with 30 years of great memories and get back into drama! We'd love to see more of you.
