I like Meat and all. Infact I really like Meat, but I came to realizing something after I purchased Bad Attitude at a cd shop last weekend.
Of the Jim songs he's done that have also been recorded by other artist, his are often inferior. My examples (also only my opinion)
Nowhere Fast - Fire inc. is better.
Surf's Up - Rory Dodd is better.
Left In The Dark - Jim is better.
Original Sin - Pandora's Box is better
It Just Won't Quit - Pandora's Box is Better
IACBTMN - Pandora's Box is better, and Celine.
A Kiss is a Terrible Thing to Waste - Kyle Gordon is Better.
Bad For Good - Jim is Better.
I'll give him Rock and Roll Dreams, Read em and Weep and it's a toss up on Out of the Frying Pan. And personally I think his No Matter What is way better than Boyzone, but I really don't care for boy bands.
It is funny how the songs on Bat1 haven't really been attempted by other artist, and i'm talking about a real artist releasing a single. I suppose there was a few Two Out of Three's, but I never took Bonnie's too seriously.
Looking forward to seeing if Jim's going to use any Bat1 material in The Music Cycle, and more importantly who the vocalist(s) will be. It will be hard to top Meat on Bat1.
