I don't think that's odd. My favourite "version" of All Revved Up is the SACD one that Pudding has on his blog. This is the centre speaker only, and is basically vocals plus sax. It does sound a bit strange with all the silent bits where only the other instruments are playing, but the sax is loud and clear whereas on the regular mix it's a bit drowned out. I definitely think that track could have been mixed better on the original record.
