Both Bucks Fizz and Celine Dion needed exposure, Cliff and Lulu are a different matter, both of them had their careers, oveshadowed by the Beatles and the beginnings of more adventrous rock, they both needed eurovision as a way to reinvent themselves, raise their profile, and it worked.
With the exception of Abba nothing really great or ground breaking has ever come out of Eurovision, most of it has been 1 hit wonders..... Lordi...lol
