Springsteen's 'Working On A Dream' (3 stars out of 5) is reviewed in the latest issue of Q magazine (March'09).
In referring to the song 'Queen of the Supermarket':
'...an unlikely tale of unrequited love among the teetering cans of soda and baked beans. It's just the kind of melodramatic pap that would have needed Jim Steinman and Meat Loaf in their bombastic prime to do it any sort of justice, which is kind of ironic when you think from where the pair borrowed a lot of their ideas in the first place.'
Bat Out of Hell (5/5) is also suggested as an ablum to try if you like WOAD:
'Treating every Jim Steinman song like an assault course, Marvin Lee Aday goes over the top, and then just keeps on going'.
