| Totally agree with this. The problem with these TV casting shows is that you don't get anyone unusual or orginal at the end. You get an identikit theatre singer or, more accurately, what the British public consider to be an approximation of an identikit theatre singer. The minute Jim agreed to this, he'd be handing over some of the control to a TV company. Bearing in mind he may not have total control over the finished product anyway, what with the amount of investors it will need, I can't see how handing over even more of it will improve things.
