If it is not just a negotiating ploy, how big of a screw up does Sonnenberg have to be? Simon and Seacrest got huge bucks, a nice increase for Paula to just not screw with the familiar & successful formula was pretty much a given unless there were behind the scenes issues. I wonder if he held out for too much and it fell through and now they'll either have to crawl back or her revitalized "career" is back on the skids.
