What I am saying is quite different. I am saying that Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen... don't allow thousands of different versions of their songs go out and even some from one person like Bonnie Tyler. This devalues Steinman's product, as we have the Choir version, the album version, the duet version, the love song version, the commercial ad version, the X Factor Karaoke version... This is pure crap and it annoys me that Steinman will not allow anyone to do a theatrical production of his music which will ad context to his lyrics which are very visual, this is totally off limits but for himself, but allows all this other stuff to devalue his lyrics and inspiration. It doesn't seem right to me.
