St, John's Wort is NOT the best recommendation unless you know exactly what you're dealing with- it works very well on mild straight depression, it can have really BAD side effects with bipolar/manic depression. I'm all for the exercise, dietary changes and cutting out alcohol, drugs, etc. to help with depression- it's worked very well in my case. I still think the best thing to do is go talk to your doctor. Guess what- he may think it's a stupid thing to worry about and that you're being silly, but HE GETS PAID BIG BUCKS to TREAT YOUR ILLNESS, not to tell you you're being silly. If he refuses to listen, inform him that you want a full copy of your medical record because you're going somewhere else. Repeat as necessary until you find the doctor who will listen, and will treat you with the respect and patience that you need and deseerve to get through this. | |
