| depends on what you're taking. most SSRIs are relatively "safe" - less chances of liver damage and ODs than most drugs, e.g. painkillers, but fluoxetine and such can be a bastard. the problem with ADs are that people react to different ones differently. there's still no set knowledge of how each drug will effect you. these symptoms could be a case of you just worrying about any adverse effects (i.e. psychological) as missing one day - while not adviseable without consulting your GP/crazy doctor/psych - shouldn't cause such problems. it might be a placebo-effect, or possibly you've just noticed some things - tiredness, weird dreams, headaches - that where present previously. i had that with Prozac, was a complete zombie for a year, and it took me a while to notice just how nasty a drug it is. if the latter is the case then you're probably not on the right one for you (only a third of people ever find solace in the first one they try), in which case talk to your doctor. if you've missed them for a few days, then these could be withdrawal symptoms. try lowering your dose gradually (again, depends on what you're taking and how much). alternatives include exercise (which can be difficult to do if you're feeling low), regular meals, cutting down on alcohol and illicit drugs (just covering bases ;)) and you could try St. John's Wort (but you might as well try sugar cubes, besides which i'm loathe to suggest something i've only basic knowledge about). as for your low libido - them's the breaks i'm afraid. it could be due to the depression or the "cure" or both. damned if you do and damned if you don't. still, if it's the drugs, chances are it'll come back - especially at your age ;). same's true if your illness isn't chronic. BOTTOM LINE: it's great that you feel confident enough that you can come here and discuss this with people and it's very cool that the guys and gals here have offered advice, but you really need to contact someone with a - real - medical degree. all the best. peace. > I started taking them in August of last year and now I've > been prescribed them for 2 more months.
