| For me it was in college. In 1983-84 a resident assistant on our floor got free tickets to a movie premiere: Streets of Fire. I went, and liked the movie OK, but there were two songs, and only two songs, that I HAD to have. I got the soundtrack (and it is still the only movie soundtrack I have ever owned, except for broadway musicals made into movies), and noticed that those two songs, and ONLY those two songs had the same songwriter. So I did some research and found out that I had already been a fan of his work. I loved Bat 1, and loved Total Eclipse of the Heart which was out at that time.
