| These posts are one of the reasons I continue to check in at the Jim Steinman message board. Great job as usual, Vin! I'll note that the gentle timeline confusion in the lyrics may be effective not only because it is clever, but also because it may introduce a light hypnotic trance in the listener that will allow him to experience both the lyrics and the music more deeply and personally. See Tad James "timeline therapy." I also like how deliciously dark and evil Vin's lyrics are. There's dark in the depressing and sad kind of way and then there's dark in the fun and exciting kind of way and most of Vin's stuff portay's the kind of darkness that you can enjoy as a guilty pleasure. I think that's because the really dark stuff is only metaphorical... or is it? :-) Vin knows it, but for others reading my posts for the first time, you should know that I don't give praise easily and that I come off more critical than I intend much of the time... so this is a glowing review for this latest lyric. -=John Galt=- > I posted the first chorus to this a while back, when we > were throwing out ideas for "Steinmanesque" song titles. > JD asked me then if there was any more to it.
