I agree. Not with the superlatives. Just with the bit about it being good in general. And that he has improved it no end from the original.
I think Meat Loaf has improved lots of songs. He's a great interpreter. And songs that he hasn't improved per se he usually adds a very credible and interesting slant on, like Forever Young. And Surf's Up. (I guess Monster is the flipside of that coin).
The bit that annoys me most in Los Angeloser is when he drink Zhampagne instead of Champagne. But I'll take this vocal effort over ANYTHING on Monster and Most of CHSIB anytime.
