Despite the great beauty of FCOL, I'm not sure if any song can follow Bat out Of Hell as far as the musical goes. As you say, it has to be at "the end of the musical". Well, either at the end of Act One or the end of Act Two. It builds to such a climax that dramatically it can't be followed. Although I would be interested to hear what you have to say if you disagree.
