| I understand that you cannot name the venue or the date for the opening night (or even the year - though that does seem a bit Over the Top), but I have to say I'm still puzzled. The other day, you said - "finally they have found a really good venue that's going to be available". Yet today you say - "There is some debate about arena show vs West End show." Now, if a theatre has been identified and will be available, then it must have been booked? Otherwise, how can the production team know that it is available? So, that being the case, why is there is still discussion about doing an arena show? The show also seems to have picked up a large entourage - a director, a production designer, and a choreographer have been mentioned alongside the production team, arranger, musical director etc. Surely these people must know whether they are working on an arena show or a West End musical? They must cost a fortune to keep on the payroll, so surely there is an end in sight for them? (ie a venue, an opening night, an opening year?). > Could you explain "where Bat Out Of Hell" should reside? > Sorry. I am thick but willing to learn. Sorry, I'll explain. A few days ago you were soliciting opinions on where Bat and Paradise should sit within the show. You even said that some feedback on this might be useful for the creative team. Barely a few days later you stated that Jim was delighted with the script and believed it to be his best ever piece of work. I was just astonished that Jim had solved such a major problem as where to place two such iconic songs in a few days. As I said, it must have been a crackerjack week. My final point returns us to these poor 3,000 lost souls. Seeing as you are making all this information about the show public - presumably with the blessing of the producer - where is the harm in putting it all together in an official email to the people who have shown an interest in the musical? I don't see why it's ok for you to spill the beans on here, but the production team won't put something official out to those who signed up to their website. | |
