I find your criticism of Jim's attempts at humour odd, in what way are they pretentious, to me there just classic Steinman. Also, I cannot disagree highly with your "He should never have sang" comment. Jim's voice was brilliant on Bad foor Good and even better then on the Batman Demos (His Vocak for Graveyard Shift is one of my favourite's)
