Meat lost a fair few fans during the CHSIB tour and a few more thanks to the Hair Of The Dog tour. He then lost many, many fans due to Bat 3 and the subsequent mess of a tour. So whatever he does now, there are huge swathes of ex-fans who coudn't give a toss. Anyone who already didn't like Meat isn't going to give his music a chance so all he has left are his remaining fan base, a good portion of which he has alienated with his new sound.
