This. Great music is out there if you know where to look. I found an amazing local folk/rock band here in Georgia (Larkin Poe on the list I posted above). Through them I've been introduced to other great local bands as well. Same thing with the local metal scene. I go to see one band and three others are playing too so then I go see them the next time around, and so on.
