I'm still curious about his take on the Beast in "Beauty and the Beast". I should investigate that. I'm also not sure if he went ahead with "Jekyll & Hyde" or not but I know that at one point he was involved. I did hear that his Phantom was great.

I'm a writer and performer. I wrote a musical and my friend wrote the music and we got it produced over here last year and it got an award. I hadn't intended to get involved as an actor but I sang one of the songs at the theatre's ten year anniversary birthday bash and the director was blown away and wanted me in the show. It was an emotional experience for me. It was the first time I'd ever seen one of my works produced on the stage and I felt so passionate about trying to make it happen for years and it did. But we went along to our first meeting in the new year last year and I came home to discover that my friend (When I turn to my left I look at her picture on my desk) had passed away that morning. I was so broken hearted. I miss her all the time. I've got beyond the initial stage... but I'll never forget her and I'll never really get beyond the tragedy of it all, for someone so young and so loving and so caring. It should not have been her. She passed away in her sleep so I'm thankful that she had no real idea.

But I almost gave away the show and her brother said to me, all sorts of people said to me, No, you've got to carry on. You've been given this opportunity. So I stuck with it. And it was an emotional ride and ultimately one of if not the greatest experience of my life. Opening Night was fantastical. I hit these long notes. Then I saw the review and it was practically a rave. It was all just a dream experience for me. Closing Night was hard though...

Somewhere there is a recording of me singing "Confession of a Vampire". It's definitely on "Nothing but a Merciless Night II" but I think I should record it again sometime.
