Just been for a fairly lenthy car journey and I decided to pop in Bat 3 (I know some of you will be calling me a sadist already!) Having gotten over the initial disgust and disappointment of the album I feel I can listen to it fairly objectively now.
There's so much potential for greatness in some of the songs I just feel that Desmond Child's production let it all down. The stand out tracks for me are BAAB and Alive and I'd like to hear more of James Michael's songs, just hopefully not produced by Child. As has been mentioned many times, all of the Jim songs could have been so much better. I think Seize The Night in particular would have benefited from shortening much of the musical parts.
I still think Cry Over Me, If God Could Talk and What About Love are utter shit though!
And Meat still should have done Braver too!
