| A couple of things strike me about the Lestat Demos in their entirety. One is how high Elton's vocal register still goes. Have you heard the tone of his voice in these babies? His vocal range is the best its probably ever been. Second is how amazing the synths sound. I presume it is Guy Babylon on keys, and Davey Johnstone on guitars (which all very much feature the trademark rock/country twang Elton's developed recently) and it sounds really amazing. Very organic. Third is how similar "Embrace It" sounds to "Electricity" from Billy Elliot. Both great songs. And fourth is Elton's ability in any genre. He does stuff in these tunes he wouldn't dream of in "ordinary" rock / pop / whatever. And it's great. I'm very glad to finally have all these. Thanks once again to Venom, directing me to these is very appreciated and has given me much, much joy. | |
