The situation with "Very Best" is more complicated than it seems. I remember reading that Meat was already pissed "No Matter What" was being done by Boyzone. Apparently he didn't "get on" with Steinman and Rinkoff during the making of that. Also, Steinman and Rinkoff were meant to produce "Is Nothing Sacred" but walked out and left Russ Titelman to the job. If you listen to Scarpia's demo of "Kiss" it's (basically) the same track as Meat's. So they just slapped that on and got it over with, I guess? After that, and TMIL, I don't envision Meat and Jim sitting in a studio together ever again. Both of them are a) a lot older, b) don't need un-necessary fighting for the age they are at and c) they would only fight like hell trying to make "Conclusions & Climaxes" or anything else. If they want to do this, it's not going to be easy. I've also heard that Meat doesn't like Bova and Rinkoff but you know what? THAT is rumour and you shouldn't believe any of it unless the official sources come right out and say it. But I do think the public will expect Meat to be involved and so they should. He has been the moniker of BOOH for over 30 years. While I do think he should be involved, a strong part of me is saying that he shouldn't because this is Jim's masterpiece. It would be like compromising Disney's Fantasia with Mickey Mouse & Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs appearing in every sequence. It all depends on how the show's advertised.
