Bat 1 to me is the ultimate album I couldn't do without.
A masterpiece of production & engineering for it's time.
BfG - I adore this album because it is 'pure' Jim and I adore his voice. The tone in it totaly floors me.
It was the sound of his voice that made me fall in love with this album and the fact he just let himself go with it.
Bat 2 - Once again a masterpiece, a step up from Bat 1 but then maybe more advanced technology may have had something to do with it as the mix of this album is awesome. The monologues make the albums unique and ooooh! that voice.
One thing I do like to do is play the vinyl of them including Dead Ringer, It's like actually playing the 'Original', if you get my meaning, they don't feel fake or re-produced.
