How? How does Batman saying God Speed, speed us away make any lyrical sense in the context of the song? It was written for Peter to sing to Wendy. Is Batman saying Us as in Me and the Villains or Us as in Me and the Citizens of Gotham. It is a fleeting teenage lustful love. Surf's Up should and probably won't) be his love song to her. Bat out of Hell should be his other love song to her. FCOL really doesn't fit in. Maybe it would work with Wendy singing it to Peter without the Faded Levis line. Maybe I'm wrong... but I don't see it fitting in, and it seems to me that the only reason everyone wants it in the show is because it is a great song... not because it organically fits there. | |
