That worked for "Evita". Some people seem to think that the album should be timed to coincide with the show opening, to go for maximum publicity. But I think you could be right and ALW and Tim Rice were right to do an album first with "Evita". I am hoping that Ryan will try to create a conceptual album of the "Don Claude Devious: Cannibal Rapture" songs because he had this wonderful production but then things slow down and why not do the show in a different way? With your suggestion of releasing a conceptual album for "BOOH", then the show sort of starts to exist. Like people were talking about "Evita" as if it was already a show, long before it was actually staged. | |
