He's apologized. That acknowledges that his actions were incorrect or inappropriate. Precisely what sort of penance do you feel he owes you? Forty lashes?
It was a conflict of interest. It happens.
If the two men find in future they have common interests, it is likely the better for both of them, and likely for those who love their music even more so.
The two men have differed before. They have worked together before. Better the latter than the former.
Why it would be desired on the part of a fan that past anger and resentment preclude the future is a mystery to me.
