I know that remastering Jim's recordings has been controversial (ie the first of the two remasters of Bat out of Hell II apparently was poorly mixed, and I personally find the remaster of Pandora's Box way too "loud" so that sounds sound compressed). But I was wondering if either Dead Ringer, Bad for Good or either of the two Bonnie Tyler albums had been remastered?
I ask because I see Dead Ringer and BFG were reissued by what Amazon refers to as "Sbme Special Mkts." in 2008 at cheap prices. The cheap price makes me think these are the old CD pressing sound wise--anyone know for sure?
I do know there's fairly expensive "paper sleeve" reissues from Japan of both Bonnie's albums--could anyone comment on the remastering quality!
