You mean, why does it sound different to the "Streets Of Fire" version? That's an interesting question. It doesn't seem Steinman was involved with the BA album in any capacity. You could almost say Meat covered two of his songs but "Nowhere Fast" is a LOT different to the SOF version. The official story I've heard is that Meat's version is the first draft of "Nowhere Fast" completed for SOF. But then Jim wrote a better version, used that and gave the first draft to Meat.
