Steinman and Springsteen

alright, so many people say Bat out of Hell was a bastard version of Springsteens music, especially born to run.

On my way home from work today I incidently had Born to Run and Bad for Good (Jim's version of course) on the iPod right after each other. While I always thought the BOOH argument was rubbish, I was quite surprised at the similarity between bfg and btr.

An explanation that came to my mind was that Jim always said he adored the boss' music, and apparently bfg was done in a rush to get the booh follow up out.

So to me bfg sounds like a mix between booh and btr.

What do you think? Has jim, in need of a new song and in lack of ideas, tried to make his own born to run for his second album?

I'm curious about your opinions on this one...
