well, you cant "trick" musical haters into liking a musical movie, but the more ambivalent movie goers who are open could surely convinced I think.
Using Burtons Sweeney Todd movie as example, there were a lot of Johnny Depp fans who watched and liked it. And if you look on IMDB the reviews speak for themselves. It's certainly not only musical lovers on there.
